Postly: Click and Drop Sync "the App" provides a connection to Royal Mail‘s Click and Drop "the Service" for merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. Postly: Click and Drop Sync is in no way officially associated with Royal Mail. It is an unofficial third-party tool. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.
Personal Information the App Collects
When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account: order details including fulfillment details and shipping lines including customer shipping addresses. This data is transformed then sent directly to Royal Mail‘s Click & Drop. We do not persist sensitive data that could be used to identify customers, such as shipping addresses, billing addresses or emails in our database. The App only requests data from Shopify that is necessary for sending details to Royal Mail‘s Click & Drop that facilitate the application of postage and the printing of postage labels.
All data is transmitted securely using HTTPS and TLS encryption. All data that is persisted is encrypted at rest under the 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard and is only accessible by the founding team of Postly.
Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for details regarding the information we have about you and the way we handle it. Additionally, you have the right to have this information corrected or deleted.
If you are a European resident, please note that your information may be transferred outside of Europe to our secure servers in Canada and the United States.
End Recipients and Data Transfer
Royal Mail‘s Click and Drop service is the sole end recipient of data transfered from the app. We do not share data with any other third-parties, except where obligated to by law. Our encrypted database is stored on Google Cloud Platform.
Data Retention
We do not persist sensitive data that could be used to identify customers, such as shipping addresses, billing addresses or emails in our database. All persisted data is securely stored in an encrypted database on Google Cloud Platform.
Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
